Wales RL
Also sponsored by Deniol Construction
Kathryn Salter started playing rugby on the 7s circuit for Wales as an U18. She then played for Cardiff Blues for a season and later Cardiff Met before giving up rugby for a few years after suffering an ACL knee tear. In 2019, she came back to rugby in the league code, making her rugby league debut in the second ever open age women's match to be played in Wales, for Cardiff Blue Dragons against Rhondda Outlaws, before turning out on the wing for East Wales against West Wales. She was then appointed Wales' vice-captain in their first season of international rugby league in 2019, playing in both matches that year and kicking the conversions. She was a stand-off in the first game against Great Britain Teachers before switching to full back for the win over England Lions. She signed for London Broncos for the 2021 season after moving to England to work in the engineering sector for Thames Water. She is half-American half-Welsh as her mum is US born.
