William Rees started his rugby with Amman United and also played for Swansea and Llanelli, before turning professional with Swinton in the 1920s where he helped them to Challenge Cup Final wins in 1926 and 1928. In addition to his six Welsh caps, he won 11 Great Britain caps and was a Lions tourist in 1928. He played twice for Other Nationalities, both against England. He died in early 1968, aged 68.
