The top tackler and top ball carrier in Super League in 2023, Brogan came into the Welsh squad later that year, qualifying because of the heritage rule. She started off as a rugby union player at university, having already tried football and boxing as a teenager. She eventually rose to becoming captain of Cheshire in rugby union, but thanks to encouragement from a friend, she decided to give league a go and signed with Warrington Wolves in 2021. She switched to Salford for the 2022 season, also representing England Lions at the end of that year. A personal trainer when not playing rugby league.
