Fern Davies won her first cap for Wales in 2022, just a year after first picking up a rugby ball. Fern, who is also ex-Army, didn't ever think about playing rugby league until she watched the Wales Women in action in 2021, which led to her to trial and sign for Warrington Wolves and became a regular in their side helping them to the Super League Leaders Shield in 2022. Originally a netball player, she played that sport for over 15 years, representing Wales in the age groups from 14 through to open age, including playing at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast in Australia for Wales. She also played three seasons in the Netball Super League for Celtic Dragons.
