He'd previously played junior rugby union with Sully and Penarth. He became a Wales RL U16 international in 2013 before being signed by Widnes Vikings and spent two years in their U19 academy, also becoming a wales U19 international. He gave rugby union another try, playing for Cardiff Blues U18 but after two matches, decided to return to League, signing back for the Scorpions and playing for both their first team and reserves in 2016. He moved up to the RFL Championship with Halifax in 2017, also travelling to Australia with Wales for the Student World Cup that year. He made his full Wales debut in 2018.
