Brian Radford started playing rugby at his local side at Kenfig Hill, before eventually turning out for Neath and Aberavon. He turned professional with Bradford Northern and helped them to a Challenge Cup Final in 1949 and a Championship Final in 1952. After retiring he moved back to Wales and died in Kenfig Hill in 2007.
