Lynn Hallett was known as the drop goal king when at Cardiff City Blue Dragons. He kicked 42 of them in 94 games, 29 of them in the 1983-84 season, which is a British Rugby League record. He also scored 14 tries and kicked 128 regular goals. Before turning professional, he played for Beddau then Bridgend, and won Welsh youth RU caps. He returned to play and coach Beddau and helped the club move up the National Leagues in the early 2000s.
