Born in 1884, David Galloway played just two seasons of professional rugby, for Treherbert in 1909-10 and Hull FC in 1910-11, before returning to Wales. He played for Treherbert as youth and then an amateur in rugby union before that, where he represented Glamorgan, and was also a keen cricketer. Sadly, he died young, on 22 February 1913 in Treherbert, aged just 28.
