David Halley played for Wales in the World Cup qualifiers in 2007 but announced he was switching to England in 2009. However the English didn't ever select him and he gave up the game following the 2011 season. He started his career with Bradford Bulls and was successful there, scoring 27 tries in 82 appearances, plus four in five for Wakefield Trinity when on loan. He was released in 2011 and played just eight games for new club Keighley Cougars before leaving the professional game for good. He later played in the amateur game in Yorkshire.
