Appointed the East Wales Development Manager in 2022. Abertillery-based, since studying sports science at college, Wayne has always had a love of sport. He first joined rugby league as a coach with Blackwood Bulldogs before working on pathways like East Wales junior programmes, Celtic Crusaders and South Wales Scorpions scholarships and academy set-ups. He later became a community coach with Wales Rugby League and then became an assistant coach in almost every South Wales-based pathway – Wales U16, 18, Students, Dragonhearts and West Wales Raiders. Recently, he’s also been assisting at Coleg y Cymoedd, the East Wales junior pathway, Cardiff Demons and Wales Women.
