At just 16 years old at the end of 2025, Matthew Turner was already the highest points scorer in the history of the WRL Wheelchair Invitational League after its first three years. He made a try-scoring debut in the league when aged just 13. His tries and goals have been the catalyst for Crusaders winning trophies in all three years he's played for them. Called into the Wales squad for the 2025 friendly match against the UK Armed Forces, his father Martin Turner was already a Wales international.
