Sam Grice came through the Wales junior ranks qualifying on the heritage rule, playing for our U16 and U18 sides. For Wales U16, he played four times, helping the side to win the 2023 U16 Four Nations. He went up to the Wales U18 side in 2024, playing in all three matches in the series against Ireland U18. He made his Wales men's side debut against France later that year. Club-wise, he started out as a junior with York Acorn before signing for Castleford Tigers where he was Academy Players' Player of the Year in 2025. He also made his senior club debut in 2025, making two appearances on loan for Workington Town.
