Born in 1889, Tom Williams started his rugby career in Llanelli and played for the Scarlets from 1909-11. He was top scorer for them in the 1910-11 season. He and Evan Davies, who played on the other wing for Llanelli, turned professional with Oldham at the same time in December 1911. Tom played for Oldham for eight years, making 83 appearances and scoring 40 tries.
