Llewelyn "Llew" Treharne was Wales' first international winger and was memorable for a fantastic performance against England where he scored two tries in the 35-18 win. Starting off in local rugby union in South Wales, he eventually turned professional with Wigan in 1904. During his time at Wigan, they won the South West Lancashire League in 1904–05 and 1905–06. He retired in 1908 after 47 appearances for the club, scoring 25 tries and kicking one goal.
