Lewis John Llewellyn played just once for his hometown club of Newport, instead turning out more for Ebbw Vale. When that club turned professional in 1907, he continued to play with the side right up until their demise in 1912, when he joined Wigan. On retiring, he moved back to Newport, and died there on February 1, 1931 aged 49.
