Wyndham Clifford Emery came up to Leigh from Bridgend (presumably their town's rugby union club) and he turned out for Wales and Other Nationalities, the latter in the infamous Welsh International that never was. Outisde of rugby, he was a beer salesman when in Lancashire. He eventually returned to Bridgend and died when resident in the town in 1969 aged 72.
