Dawn joined the WRL Wheelchair Management Team as the first dedicated fundraising volunteer for the squad in January 2026. In her first six months in the role, she was able to secure funding for the team's accommodation, meals and participation fees for Celtic Cup 2026 in Edinburgh. As the Chief Officer for AVOW, Wrexham’s County Voluntary Council, Dawn is a champion of community-led initiatives. She was first introduced to Wheelchair Rugby League in 2022 by the North Wales Crusaders when she was asked to present an award during a training session at Deeside Leisure Centre. Her son tagged along and quickly became enchanted with the sport. She’s been on the sidelines cheering him on ever since. Originally from California, she brings extensive leadership knowledge and experience from her current role, as well as, from her career as a Diplomat for the U.S. Foreign Service. Dawn has a big heart for Wales, her chosen home.
