Wheelchair Rugby League is just one part of a massive sporting profile for Ricki Davies, who has played for North Wales Crusaders Wheelchair Rugby League since 2021. He started off in youth football, playing for Brickfield Rangers, then Penycae and Johnstown, where he played up until 2012. During his college years, in 2013-2015, he played hockey for the college team. At university, he enrolled onto a sports management course in pursuit of a degree. During his first year, he started helping out with coaching the North Wales Crusaders running rugby league U15s and then the U11s. He obtained his RFL level 2 coaching badge, instructed by Craig Richards, who become the England RL women's head coach. After that finished, he started wheelchair rugby league with Crusaders, won awarded newbie of the year in 2021 and also made his Wales debut against Scotland in October of that year in the Celtic Cup. Outside of wheelchair rugby, he also plays touch rugby for Chester Centurions and is part of the match day stewarding team at Wrexham FC working all the home games from the control room.
