Jason was first introduced to the Wheelchair RL by being in attendance at the 2013 World Cup Final between hosts England and inevitable winners, France at Medway Park. After being inspired and enjoying the game, Jason used his knowledge and coaching experience with rugby union club Gravesend Dynamite to set up his own team within that organisation. Since founding the Gravesend Wheelchair RL side, Jason took part in demonstration matches in the Olympic Park at the Rugby Union World Cup. Jason has gone on to feature for both Gravesend Dynamite and Hereford Harriers, and during his times at these clubs he has feature in the past two Plate Trophy finals, being on the winning side on both occasions. As well as playing the sport, Jason has had big success with being the head coach of the Gravesend outfit in their rise which has seen them have players represent Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Jason qualifies for Wales through two separate criteria, firstly through his father’s place of birth and secondly through residency as he previously lived in Wales for 27 years. One of the most highly rated player outside of Wheelchair's Super League, Jason is a very highly experienced coach by having years of experience coaching multiple sports including tennis, hockey and rugby union. A schoolboy and university footballer, he was in Hereford United's academy as a teenager.
