Born in Aldershot, Geraint qualifies for Wales on a number of grounds including his residency as he has lived in South Wales for a large portion of his life and also through his parents who are both Welsh, his father being Wales Wheelchair assistant coach Lyndon Price. Geraint has a number of different disabilities, a number of which stem from his time whilst serving his country in the Army in Afghanistan. He suffers from major back issues including a number of damaged vertebra and nerves which causes chronic pain, as a result of his time in Afghanistan serving in the Army, Geraint suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

From a young age, Geraint played both codes of running rugby in Sheffield, plus played union at a representative level for English Schools and Yorkshire. Outside of the realms of rugby, Geraint has a vast amount of experience in wheelchair sports, playing Wheelchair Basketball as well as being the Team Manager for the Wales U18s in that sport. He was also a member of the Great Britain squad at the inaugural Invictus Games in 2014 where he won gold medals in Wheelchair Basketball and Rugby (most commonly known as Murderball). Geraint has been a member of the Hereford Harriers squad since their founding in 2015, since then he has gone on to captain to side in their rise through the Wheelchair Rugby League domestic divisions and to also their 2018 domestic treble winning season. He featured for Wales at the inaugural European Championships in 2015 and has also been named vice captain on numerous occasions.
