Elliot came through the ranks of Super League club St Helens and the WRL junior international system. He won three U19 caps before graduating to the senior squad. Starting off as a junior with Thatto Heath, he moved from Saints to Rochdale, spending a year there, before moving to North Wales Crusaders before the end of the 2019 season.
