Kyle Scrivens made his name in rugby league initially with Torfaen Tigers, helping them to a Welsh Grand Final win against Valley Cougars in 2013. His performances earned him a place in the Wales Dragonhearts side, playing in all three matches that year. He was also chosen for a Welsh domestic XIII match as they took at the full Wales side in a World Cup warm-up. The following year, he turned professional with South Wales Scorpions, playing for the side for three years, making 60 appearances and scoring five tries. Full Wales honours came to him at the end of his first season in 2014. His pro RL career was sandwiched by appearances for a number of rugby union clubs in the Gwent area. He later turned to coaching with Torfaen Tigers.
