Paul Emanuelli won caps for the full Wales men side whilst with South Wales Scorpions. Previous to that, he'd played for Wales Dragonhearts and with 18 caps for that side, he's their known most capped player. He went on to become a Wales Students international, playing in the 2017 World Cup in Australia. As a coach, he's taken charge of Valley Cougars and Wales Students in rugby league, as well as assisting in other rugby league coaching set-ups. A product of Newport RU youth side he began his rugby career in union with Blackwood RU. After switching to rugby league he joined Blackwood Bulldogs and then played for Celtic Crusaders Colts (where he helped them won the Conference National Division title) and South Wales Hornets. In 2012 he joined Valley Cougars, switching to coach in 2014 where he led them to the 2014 Conference League South title. This was whilst also playing for South Wales Scorpions. When the Scorpions went under, he'd played 77 times for the club, kicking 136 goals, two drop goals and a number of 40-20s. He's also scored two tries. In 2017, he signed for Coventry Bears and his 26 games there took him over 100 first class appearances. He's since played and coached rugby union locally in South Wales.
