Lloyd White, the nephew of former Wales and Great Britain international Phil Ford, started playing rugby league at a young age with local club Newport Titans. Progressing through the youth, aged just 17 he made his first team debut and was man of the match in the 2007 Welsh Grand Final, despite being on the losing side. He progressed to the Crusaders Colts side and helped them to a Conference National Grand Final win over Bramley. A Wales Students international, he helped the side to third place in the 2008 Student World Cup and was then a Four Nations winner in 2009. He made his Super League debut in 2009 with Celtic Crusaders and his full Wales men's debut that year, helping them to a European Cup win, but spent much of 2010 with South Wales Scorpions, kicking the winning penalty in their first ever game and becoming their leading points scorer in their debut season. He finished off 2010 by kicking the winning penalty for Wales against France to help us qualify for the 2011 Four Nations. Following the old Crusaders' demise in 2011, he spent a number of years at Widnes Vikings taking his Super League appearance total to 145, scoring 36 tries and kicking 24 goals. In 2019, he had a guest spell in rugby union at his home club Newport before returning to RL with Toulouse. He played in the 2013 World Cup for Wales but missed out on the 2017 through injury.
