Gary Hulse came through the junior ranks at Crosfields and Warrington Wolves before making his senior Super League debut in 2001. He made 50 appearances for the club over four years, scoring 11 tries, spending a month on loan at Chorley Lynx in 2002. He spent two seasons at Widnes Vikings in 2005-06, making 21 appearances and scoring three tries, spending a month on loan at Doncaster in 2005. A season at Rochdale followed (25 appearances, 7 tries) before spending the final three years of his professional career at Swinton Lions where he made 68 appearances, scoring 13 tries. Internationally, in addition to his Wales cap, he was captain and goal-kicker for Great Britain U18 and U21. He continued to play community and charity rugby league and went on to run his own renovations business.
