Blackpool-born, Larne Patrick qualified for Wales via the heritage rule and played in the 2013 World Cup. Originally in the Bradford Bulls academy and winning England Academy honours, he moved to Australia and spent a year with Manly based reserve-grade side Narrabeen Sharks. From there, he joined Huddersfield Giants, where he made 149 appearances, scoring 32 tries, and was a part of the League Leaders’ Shield winning side in 2013. In November 2014, he joined Wigan Warriors on a season-long loan in an exchange deal for Jack Hughes, playing in the 2015 Super League Grand Final defeat by the Leeds Rhinos. In April 2016, Patrick joined Castleford Tigers, staying there until the end of the 2017 season before joining Leigh Centurions. That was initially on a two year deal, but he announced his retirement in July 2018. His Super League record read 185 appearances and 35 tries. On retiring, he became a sales manager in Yorkshire.
