Dai Evans was called into the Welsh squad for the World Cup qualifiers in 2016 and helped us qualify for the 2017 tournament. He played rugby league as a junior with Celtic Crusaders Colts before giving the sport another go a few years later, playing for Aber Valley Wolves, playing in the 2015 Grand Final loss to Bridgend Blue Bulls. He was picked up by South Wales Scorpions following these performances, playing in the 2016 season. He played for West Wales Raiders in 2019 and has been picked up again for the 2021 season. Starting off in rugby union, he came through the Ospreys academy and has since played primarily in the Welsh Premiership, although he made three British and Irish Cup appearances with the Dragons Select.
