Ray Glastonbury's rugby career started at Cardiff RFC. Then, national service took him into the RAF who he represented, and also played for, the Combined Services side. He turned professional with Workington Town for the start of the season in 1962 and quickly made the right-wing his home, picking up five tries on his home debut against Rochdale Hornets. He ended up with 133 tries in his 206 appearances and returned to Wales following his retirement from all rugby.
