Mark Roberts appeared just once for Wales after it emerged it was his great-grandparents who were born in Wales, so he was unable to win any more caps. Playing just eight seasons in the professional game, between 2003-10, he made three appearances for Wigan in Super League in his first season. Three years at Oldham followed, three at Halifax and one each at Leigh and Blackpool. He totalled 17 tries in his 117 professional club appearances.
