A rugby union player with Blaina and then Ynysddu, Ffion, commonly known as "Tank" came to prominence in rugby league with Cardiff Demons in 2021 where she was a regular in the side in all matches apart from the final where injury kept her out. She was however in the final side in 2022 when Demons beat London Broncos. She was initially named in the Wales squad for the Ireland game in 2021. In other codes, Ffion was a World Cup winner with the Wales Deaf Rugby 7s side in Argentina in 2023.
