Born in Hong Kong, Keira McCosh qualifies for Wales through her Welsh born mum. She grew up playing rugby 7s in Hong Kong, representing at all age group levels and went on tour to Thailand with the senior side. After moving to the UK for university, she joined Waterloo, playing there for six years including their three year stint in the Premier 15s and also representing Lancashire. In 2019, she made the switch to rugby league with Warrington Wolves for their inaugural women's season, representing both England Knights and Great Britain Teachers, playing against Wales for both of those sides. So she has taken part in every Wales Women's international so far, but not always for Wales! Outside of rugby, Keira is a qualified primary teacher but left teaching in 2018 to work full time for the Diane Modahl Sports Foundation working with underprivileged young people across Manchester and Tameside in both sport and education settings.
