Lauren started playing rugby union at the age of 8 at Porthcawl RFC where until aged 15 was the only female playing for the club! At aged 24, she rediscovered her love for rugby joining Pencoed Phoenix and represented Ospreys at regional level. Lauren attended a rugby league taster session at Cardiff Blue Dragons and was selected for the Welsh squad two months later, picking up Player Of The Match in the first ever women's capped game where Wales beat England Community Lions.
