Jason Lee played in the first-ever capped Wales Dragonhearts international match (then known as Wales Amateurs), scoring two tries against England. He was quickly snapped up by Warrington and ended up winning seven full Wales caps. However after just 12 appearances for Warrington in the final full winter season of 1994-95, he briefly returned to his native Pontypridd and rugby union. The temptation of league was too much though and he recharged his career, playing for Keighley Cougars, Halifax and Doncaster before retiring. He remained in the north of England and turned to coaching. primarily for Bradford-based club Dudley Hill. He has worked in education since retiring from the professional game.
