Keith Stanley Jarrett won ten caps for Wales in the union code before playing twice for Wales in league in 1970. The son of former Glamorgan cricketer Hal Jarrett, Keith had a fine record as a schoolboy cricketer and rugby player whilst studying at Monmouth School. His success for the Welsh public school, saw the right-handed batsman and seam bowler make his Second XI debut for Glamorgan during 1965, then play twice for the first XI in 1967 against the Indian and Pakistani tourists. However he soon concentrated on rugby, playing for Abertillery, Newport, London Welsh and Monmouthshire. In 1968, he set a club record of 30 points for Newport against Penarth and was selected for that year's British Lions tour to South Africa, but failed to make the test team. In 1969, he turned professional Barrow for a signing-on fee of £14,000. He was later transferred to Wigan, but before he could play for them, he was forced to retire at the age of just 25, when he suffered a stroke resulting from a hemorrhage. He later moved back to South Wales and continues to attend sporting functions.
